Cuno

Cuno van ‘t Hoff

After his career as an entrepreneur in the internet business, Cuno couldn’t restrain his untamable craving for good wines and wine information. Training, training and training. From the French Bordeaux to Stellenbosch in South-Africa (and yes, a huge amount of wine) expanded his knowledge on this amazing subject.

Wine and Food Critic

Among many other publications, Cuno was in 2011 and 2012 author of the Dutch wineguides ‘De Wijnalmanak’, ‘De Wijnalmanak Bubbels’ (focused on sparkling wine). As well as co-author and contributor for the Dutch release of ‘The Juice’, written by Jamie Oliver’s sommelier Matt Skinner.
Currently Cuno writes on his own casual way for several magazines and on weekly basis, and he does the wine selections for the ‘het Financieele Dagblad’ (Dutch Financial Times) wine shop.

Speaker

As an appreciated speaker you can find Cuno at many events, fairs and as a judge for several wine challenges.

Consultancy

Be a Winemaker

Always wanted to have your own wine? Made for you. With your own private label. Or better, made by yourself. With a little help from me. On a small scale – one barrel (that’s only 300 bottles) – or bigger. For commercial use. I can have access to wineries all over the world. From exclusive Bordeaux Grand Cru Châteaux, to bigger volume estates anywhere. I’ll take you there. With our feet deep in the vineyard, smell the soil, taste the grapes. And then we decide, what to do. Based on your wish, and my knowledge.

Sharing is caring

I like to share. Your employees are working in a restaurant, wine shop, or you are a distributor. And you’d like to freshen up their knowledge? I share mine with them. Whether it’s red, white, sparkling or Japanese saké.

Events

Events

You can hire me, for your wine-event, business-trip or in depth wine training. I’d love to dust off snobbish ideas and take you with me to a new era of enjoying wine!

Food

You’re struggling with an upcoming party that YOU have to organize. You know it has to be different this year. With wine, and food. Big time to show-off, or small and intimate. But always suitable for you, your guests and not to forget, your wallet. You, working in the wine business, want to offer your guests another view on wine. Always from a professional point of view. Or you want to have my opinion on your wines and the wine market in general. Relaxed. Casual. Humorously when it’s suitable. But always professional and as profound as you like. Sometimes it seeks a fresh breeze to make things clear.
